Chubbtown, Georgia : ウィキペディア英語版 | Chubbtown, Georgia Chubbtown is an unincorporated community in Floyd County, Georgia, in the United States. ==History== Chubbtown was founded as a colony of free blacks in 1864 by Henry Chubb, and named for him. A post office was established as Chubbtown in 1894, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Floyd County )〕 The town was spared destruction by the Union Army during the Civil War. A flood devastated Chubbtown in 1916, and the community never fully recovered. The Chubb Methodist Episcopal Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
